Delbarton (N.J.) rising junior attackman J.J. McBride has committed to the admissions process at the University of Pennsylvania.
J.J. McBride log:

J.J. McBride
High School: Delbarton (N.J.)
Graduation Year: 2014
Position: Attackman
College Choice: Pennsylvania
Club Affiliation: Patriot Lacrosse
Major lacrosse honors: Jake Reed’s Blue Chip and Maverik Showtime (All-Star selection).
Academic honors: High Honor Roll
What will you major in/study? Leaning toward business.
Why did you choose the school? “It’s an unbelievable school – you can’t get much better of an education. I really liked coach (Mike) Murphy and his staff. Also, my sister Leah (defense) is a member of the women’s (lacrosse) team.”
Outlook for 2013 HS season: “Next year our team should be good. We return a lot of players; we do lose a few key seniors, but the defense should be very good, we have a good face-off guy and and a great goalie so hopefully we can make a run at a state championship.”
Other schools considered: Georgetown, Notre Dame, Harvard
Other comments: “I want to thank my mom and dad and brother (Jack McBride, a three-time All-American at Princeton) and sisters. Also, I want to thank Delbarton coach (Chuck) Ruebling, and assistant coaches (Matt) Kovachik, and (Craig) Fleischman and Patriot coach (Mike) Marone.”
