Garnet Valley’s Allyson Heavens (headed to Penn State), recently named Phillylacrosse.com Co-Player of the Year, scored once to help Team Freedom down Team Spirit, 14-5, Sunday in the first round of play at the Champion Girls’ All-American Showcase, a US Lacrosse event being held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Team Spirit features Kelly Cross (Upper Dublin, Syracuse).
Meanwhile, Liberty toppled Pride, 9-7, as Nicole Troost (Shawnee, UMass) scored once. Katrina Geiger (Haverford High, Loyola), also named a Phillylacrosse.com Co-Player of the Year, also is a member of Liberty. Stephanie Toy (Moorestown, Notre Dame) had a goal and an assist for Pride.
