Maple Zone boys’ recruit: Avon Grove rising junior goalie Schreiner commits to Penn State

Avon Grove rising junior goalie Will Schreiner has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Ches-Mont League First Team, 2012; Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip 2011-12; Avon Grove Team Co-MVP and Defensive MVP, 2012; set school record for saves in season (228), tied record for saves in game (22).

Academic honors: Honor roll

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Penn State? “I love the campus and I had a really good connection with the coaches. I am excited about the incoming classes coming the next few years. Also, it has a great tradition of goalies and I like how they are building the program.”

Outlook for 2013 HS season:
“We are returning some really key players. We have a great chance to win the Ches-Mont and to go far in the state playoffs.”
