Freedom Lacrosse is seeking two experienced and highly dedicated coaches to bring our program to the next level. Competing in the highly competitive Lehigh Valley Conference within PIAA District XI, Freedom just completed our first year as Varsity and second year as a JV program.

The ideal candidates will have lacrosse experience playing and/or coaching at the college level; possess strong player development, communication, and organizational skills; a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the sport and players; be able to effectively motivate and develop both the novice and experienced player; able to attract new athletes to the sport; and be available for all scheduled practices and games. Freedom Lacrosse provides a strong support system including an active Board and dedicated Booster Club, AD, parent volunteers and feeder program that will allow our coaching staff to focus on athletics.

All interested applicants must pass a background check. These are coaching-only positions. Salary: Stipend. Appointment: Part-Time.

Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach Opening—Part Time

Penn State Abington, a four year liberal arts campus located in Suburban Philadelphia, has an immediate opening for a part time assistant men’s lacrosse coach. Penn State Abington is a provisional member of NCAA Division III and a member of the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

Minimum qualifications include:
□ A bachelor’s degree (or similar experience);
□ Previous head and/or assistant coaching experience at the high school, club and/or college level.
Preference may be given to candidates with successful recruiting experience and/or student athlete development.

The University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA

Co-Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach- Available: Immediately

The University of Pittsburgh Men’s Lacrosse team has an opening for Co-Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach for the 2012/2013 season. The lacrosse team is a Division 1 member of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) and the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association Conference (CCLA).

The co-head coach position is a 10-month position for the 2012/2013 season that begins in Late August/Early September, and goes through mid-May. All coaches are employed by Panthers Lacrosse, not the University of Pittsburgh, and are not required to hold a position at the University.

Based in Pittsburgh, PA, the Head Coach at PITT Lacrosse is responsible for the success, leadership and oversight of all operations of Panthers Lacrosse. Must be available for practice up to four nights per week, and home/away games on weekends. A defensive background is preferred, but not required.

The ideal candidate should have college playing and/or coaching experience; be a strong teacher of the game; an effective communicator; and capable of and fostering an environment that promotes camaraderie, sportsmanship and a strong work ethic . Freedom Lacrosse provides a strong support system including an experienced Head Coach, an active Board and dedicated Booster Club, AD, parent volunteers and feeder program that allow our coaching staff to focus on athletics.

Penn State Abington Head coach – Part-Time

Penn State Abington, a four year liberal arts campus located in Suburban Philadelphia, has an immediate opening for a part time head women’s lacrosse coach. Penn State Abington is a provisional member of NCAA Division III and the NEAC Conference. The NEAC Conference has an automatic qualification for the NCAA Tournament.

Responsibilities include: developing a competitive team through organized practices; player evaluation and development; recruiting of student athletes who are admissible under the guidelines of Penn State Abington and can add to the competitiveness of the team; supervise assistant coaches and direct their responsibilities; interact effectively with campus and department personnel, officials, conference and non conference opponents, parents, alumni and the local community; scouting and video analysis; and ability to successfully manage team dynamics.

Minimum qualifications include:

□ A bachelor’s degree
□ Previous head and/or assistant coaching experience at the high school and/or college level;
Preferred qualifications include:

□ 3-5 years of demonstrated success in the development of a varsity lacrosse program at the high school or collegiate level as a head coach;
□ Extensive knowledge and understanding of the recruiting process and a proven track record in recruiting and retaining student athletes within your program.
