Andrew Mackrides (Malvern Prep, Penn State) scored in overtime today to lift GMH Philadelphia to an 8-7 victory over Tri-State (N.J.) in the Blue Conference championship game of the American Lacrosse League playoffs at United Sports in Downingtown.
The win advances GMH Philadelphia into the ALL title game Saturday at Malvern Prep at 2 p.m. The opponent will be determined today.
Rob Forster (La Salle College High, Penn State) had three goals and two assists to lead the GMH attack and Max Hjelm (Conestoga, Haverford College) had two goals. Jake Plunkett (Albright men’s coach) and Dusty Smith each had a goal. Joe Canuso (Villanova men’s assistant coach, ‘Nova grad) had eight saves in goal.
