Defense Sport Mouthguard Rinse provides protection against health risks of dirty mouth guards to athletes at all levels. Defense Sport will sponsor a contest in which one winner will receive paid registration, as extended day camper, to Brotherly Love Lacrosse Camp in Philadelphia, Pa July 9-12, 2012.

Defense Sport Mouthguard Rinse wants to help grow the game by sending one winner to lacrosse camp this summer. Participants are invited to enter for a chance to win by visiting any of the participating retail locations or completing an online entry form on the Defense Sport website. Deadline for entry is June 18th 2012.

Brotherly Love Lacrosse Camp is for Goalies and Offensive players. Participants will enjoy four days of intensive training and coaching by the best lacrosse players in the world. Team USA Gold Medal Champion Brian Dougherty heads up the Goalie coaching along with Drew Adams (Team USA, LI Lizards), Niko Amato (Maryland) and Austin Kaut (Penn State). Attackmen and Middies learn from current coaches and players, Coach Adam Eddinger (Chestnut Hill College), Coach Ray Kendrick (Eastern U) and Joey Sankey (UNC).

Each camper in attendance will receive a bottle of Defense Sport Mouthguard Rinse. “Baggataway Lacrosse Club and World Champion Lacrosse Camps have decided to partner with Defense Sport because it makes sense for every lacrosse player to have a bottle in their bag,” says coach Dougherty. “There is a lot of gross stuff on the fields we play on; when you drop your mouth guard on the ground it needs to be cleaned properly. Not to mention we keep mouth guards in our bags and we all know how funky a lax bag can be.”

Defense Sport Mouthguard Rinse and Professional Lacrosse: Numerous academic studies have linked contaminants found on mouth guards to various medical conditions contracted by individuals using them. Athletic trainers in professional sports are taking a proactive approach to athletes’ health, and using Defense Sport to help curtail exposure to “dirty mouth guards”.
