MC Curran scored the game-winner in the third overtime period today as host Episcopal Academy earned a 13-12 victory over Notre Dame in the latest chapter of the Inter-Ac League’s top rivalry.

Seven-time league champion EA has defeated Notre Dame five consecutive times by one goal; the game before that was a one-goal win by Notre Dame. This loss was the first of the year for the Fighting Irish (8-1, 4-1), while EA (7-4, 5-0) moves into first place.

“I could not have been more proud of my team,” said EA first-year coach Amanda Vos Strache. We executed our game plan to perfection.

“Our defense really stepped up against their top players and our attack stayed poised in the offense. We truly played a full team effort and that really helped us gain the win today.”
