Tuesday’s boys roundup: No. 1 Conestoga tops L. Merion; Ridley, Henderson, Downingtown West prevail

Host Conestoga broke open a 2-2 game with four unanswered goals in the second period and claimed an 11-5 Central League win today over Lower Merion in boys’ lacrosse action.

The Pioneers improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the league. They are ranked No. 1 in the country in every national poll and No. 1 in the PA Media Rankings.

Bradlee Lord had three goals and an assist and Jake Scott tallied three goals for Conestoga. Mike McGregor had two goals and an assist and Robbie Zonino made nine saves.

For Lower Merion, Evan Wolf had two goals and an assist and Chris Daly scored two goals.

Ridley 18, Upper Darby 0

Dalton George had three goals and two assists and Pat O’Brien added three goals and an assist to pace the Green Raiders (7-1) to the Central League win.

Henderson 12, Kennett 5

Owen Evans and Sebastian Kerslake each scored three goals for the Warriors (6-1, 1-1) in their Ches-Mont League win.

Downingtown West 18, Octorara 1

The Whippets (7-0, 2-0) coasted to the Ches-Mont League win, emptying their bench early on.

Pennsbury 17, Truman 0

Andrew Probst had four goals and Ryan McDonald and Christian DeVaul each scored three for the Falcons in the Suburban One National Conference win.

Abington 15, Council Rock North 0

Ryan Ambler collected four goals, five assists and three groundballs to lead the Ghosts to the Suburban One National win.

Neshaminy 8, Council Rock South 6

Freshman Matt Magdelinskas scored six goals as he led the Redskins (4-2, 1-1) to their first National Conference victory. Opportunities were created by Andy MacDonald, who had five assists. Austin Marshall was strong in goal with 13 saves.

Nick Gugliemi had two goals for CR South.

George Washington 12, FitzSimons 1

Connor McMonagle had five goals and three assists and Jason Link had four goals and three assists to pace GW in the Public League.

Archbishop Wood 13, Souderton 7

Chris Rahill pumped in five goals and added three assists to lead Wood to the non-league win.

Ridge Schultz and Cameron Trick each had three goals for the Indians.
