Downingtown West High School

Coach: Tommy Hannum, 9th season

Last Year’s Record/Accomplishments: 20-3, Chesmont League Champion, District 1 semi-finalist

Eric Rankel, senior middie, 2011 all state, all league
Tyler Keen, junior middie, 2011 all league
Zach Barr, senior middie, 2011 all league

Jared Wolf, junior long stick middie, 2011 all league
Mike Paoline, junior close defense, 2011 all league.

Key Newcomers:
Juniors Mike Peppelmann, Teddy Varano, Matt Logan and Justin Halpern, at attack; seniors Sam Beneke, Ryan Hibbs, Peter Karol, Jim Breitmayer, Sean Goodrich, and juniors Sean Higgins, Evan Wolf, Sean Souder at middie; seniors Jimmy Renaud, Max Carroll, Logan Richter, and juniors Nick Caruso, Max Ajemian, Will Flanagan, Jake McMillan at defense. Senior goalie Alex Cuttic is expected to make the stops in net for the Whippets 2012 campaign, backed by junior Alex Ataiifar and freshman Carson White.

Outlook for 2012: “If West stays focused, healthy, and wins the regular season games they are supposed to, then they will compete for league honors again in 2012 and a top seed in the state tournament coming out of District 1.”

Downingtown East High School

Coach: Todd Cliggett, 2nd year

Last Year’s Record: 13-6

Coach’s Outlook for 2012 season: “After a disappointing ending to the season last year, the boys worked very hard in the off-season. They are determined and committed to have a great year. We are really looking forward to the start of the season.”

Bishop Shanahan

Coach: Jon Heisman, 3rd year

Last Year’s Record/Accomplishments: 14-5 Won 1st Round District game vs. Methacton 7-1 Lost to CB East 10-6 in 2nd Round

    Why non of this for great valley. They have better records then Avon grove and Bishop. And have like 7 d1 commits one being a sophomore
