Men’s recruit: Glen Ridge junior midfielder Goldstein commits to St. Joseph’s

Glen Ridge HS junior midfielder Colin Goldstein has committed to play Division I lacrosse at St. Joseph’s University.

Position: Midfield

College Choice: Saint Joseph’s University

Club Affiliation: Trilogy Lacrosse- North Jersey

Major lacrosse honors: “Starter for Glen Ridge as Freshman and Sophomore. Had 29 goals and 18 assists as Sophomore as we won the NJ State Group I Championship as well as the Essex County Championship; both were first’s for our lacrosse program which is only 10 years running. I attended the Philly Showcase in November.”

Why did you choose St. Joe’s? “Coach (Taylor) Wray, ‘city school’, proximity to home, academic opportunities”

Outlook for your high school team? “Many new starters, tough schedule and titles to defend. We are hoping to be prepared for another playoff run.”

Additional info: “Two year starting defender for Glen Ridge HS soccer team which has won back to back sectional titles. Named soccer captain for 2012.”
