2011 Wood record: 8-10; 6-5 in PCL

Key Returnees:
Chris Rahill, Attack – 36 goals/18assists – 3rd team PCL
Chandler Grasela, Midfield – 34 goals/6assists – 3rd team PCL
Shane Moyer, FO Mid – 89 gb’s – 3rd team PCL

Key Additions:
Connor Schultz, Jr. transfer from Pennridge HS
Vince Celenza, Sr. Att
Brendan Furling, Jr. Att
Julian Mandzy, Soph LSM

2012 Outlook: “We return most of the defense and should be reliable on that end of the field. Offense will need to prove they are capable of competing with the defenses on top in-league opponents.

We have 2 solid, experienced goalies. We are cautiously optimistic about the season – key games are 3/23 @ CB West, 4/25 @ SJ Prep, 4/26 vs. Archbishop Carroll, 4/28 vs. Hatboro-Horsham (KSF) & 5/9 vs. LaSalle.”

Lansdale Catholic High School

Coach: Nick Pison, 1st year (Previously assistant coach at Emmaus HS – 3 years)

2011 Record: 5-11 overall, 4-6 conference

Key players lost: Large senior class including multiple starters

Top Returnees:
Dan McMenamin (Jr, A)
Andrew Saldutti (Jr, D)
Peter White (Jr, M)
Tom Bradley (Jr, M)

Others to Watch: Dom Moscoriello (So. M), Frank Antenuci (Jr. M)

2012 Outlook: “Not the biggest team, but possesses a lot of speed. Graduated a lot of seniors, but junior class is large and ready to fill the void. A team looking to regroup from a down year in 2011 and return to the PCL playoffs in 2012.”

Coach’s Quote: “This year’s LC team has a lot of potential. We have certain things going for us that we need to take advantage of in order to be successful. If we are able to do so, this season will be a complete reversal of 2011.”

Biggest game on schedule: North Penn HS (5/10) to end the regular season (rivalry game)
