Air Force freshman Keith Dreyer (Malvern Prep) has been named the ECAC Lacrosse League Rookie of the Week, as released by the league on Monday. It marks the first career award for Dreyer, and the first conference weekly award for an Air Force player this season.
An attackman, Dreyer was named to the DU Face-Off Classic all-tournament team after registering 10 points in two games, scoring three goals and seven assists on the weekend. After tallying a team-high three assists in the Falcons’ 17-14 loss to Robert Morris on Saturday, Dreyer helped lead Air Force in a 15-6 victory over Michigan, scoring a team-best seven points (3g, 4a).
Dreyer’s seven points against the Wolverines were the most for an Air Force player in a single game since the 2005 season.
The Falcons open their 2012 home slate this weekend, March 3, when they host Quinnipiac in an 11:00 a.m. contest.
