Men’s recruit: Penn gets commitment from Landon School (MD) junior attackman-midfielder Laco

Landon School (MD) junior attackman-midfielder Peter Laco has committed to the admissions process at the University of Pennsylvania.

Position: Attack/Midfield

College choice: University of Pennsylvania

Club affiliation: Next Level Lacrosse

Major lacrosse honors: Varsity lacrosse Freshman year, 2nd leading goal scorer Sophomore year, Under Armor All-Star Team summer 2011, Adidas (Brine) All-Star Team summer 2011

Academic honors: Honor Roll One, throughout high school

What will you major in/study? Economics or Business

Why did you choose UPenn? “The great combination of a prestigious academic institution and a top level lacrosse program. The coaching staff is great, and my brother is currently a freshman and on the Penn lacrosse team.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “Very good – we have a lot of talent consisting of 11 players currently committed to DI schools. We play a tough schedule in a tough conference and are expecting to win the IAC this year.”

Additional comments: “I’d like to thank Coach (Rob) Bordley and everyone on Landon’s lacrosse coaching staff for pushing me and helping me out with the entire process.”
