Hatboro-Horsham junior midfielder Jimmy Murphy has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Marist College.

What will you major in/study? Business or Communications

Why did you choose school? “It was the perfect fit for me academically, athletically and socially. It’s a beauitful campus and when I visited a player’s practice they worked really hard. Coach (XXX) Wilkinson and the rest of the staff is great. It felt like family when I went up there.”

Other info: Murphy played one season with popular Hatboro-Horsham grad Eddie Coombs, who played regularly as a freshman at Marist in 2011 but passed away in a car accident last August.

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “We have a lot of guys putting time in the off-season, and with the seniors we have along with a lot of talented sophomores and juniors we’re hoping to be a highly competitive team.”
