Women’s recruit: Tower Hill (DE) junior defender Cobb commits to UVM

Tower Hill School (DE) junior defender Meghan Cobb has committed to play Division I lacrosse at the University of Vermont.

Major lacrosse honors: 2011 Under Armour Underclassmen All-America Games Team Philadelphia; 2010 and 2011 National Women’s Division National Tournament Team, Eastern Shore; 2011 First Team Delaware Independent School Conference; 2010 selected to attend US Lacrosse U19 National Team tryouts; 2010 Maximum Exposure All Star Team.

What will you major in/study? Liberal Arts

Why did you choose UVM? “I made a number of junior day visits, but when I walked onto Vermont’s campus and met the coaches and team, I knew it was the one! It is the best fit for me on the field and in the classroom and I know its where I am going to be the happiest.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “Our strength will be in the midfield where we return a great core group of juniors. We also have several new players joining the team that will greatly contribute! As a team, we look forward to working even harder than last year to make it to the finals and win a State Championship.”
