Academy of Notre Dame senior goalie Tori Sudjian has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Catholic University.
Tori Sudjian log:
High School: Academy of Notre Dame de Namur
Graduation Year: 2012
Position: Goalie
College Choice: Catholic University of America
Club Affiliation: Brandywine Majors
Major lacrosse honors: All Delco honorable mention 2011, Philly Lacrosse National Tournament Team 2011
Academic honors: Academic Honors through all 4 years at Notre Dame
What will you major in/study? Bio-medical engineering
Why did you choose school? “Catholic has everything I am looking for in a college. They offer a solid academic engineering program with Bio- medical engineering, a major I intend to pursue. The lacrosse program has an excellent record, both on the field by winning its conference championship for the last four years as well as in the classroom, having been named IWCLA Academic Squad for five straight years. The coaching staff is great and the fact that they have a goalie coach is a huge plus for me personally. Lastly, you can’t beat the school’s location in the heart of our nation’s capital!”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We have had a strong showing in my past three years with great games being played against some elite competitors. This year we have several veteran players returning to the team as well as some promising incoming underclassmen. Our goal is to win the Inter-Ac title!”
Other comments: “I thank my goalie coaches, Katie and Emily Geary, and Travis McDonnell for helping me develop my game. I also want to thank my past and present high school coaches, Brooke Record and Erin Cook, and my club coaches, Christy Ann Morella, and Theresa Heavens. I especially thank my high school assistant coach, Laura Losey, for being a coach and role model for the past four years.”
