Philadelphia Wings teammates Alex Turner and Athan Iannucci will be visiting the Shriner’s Hospital for Children®-Philadelphia on Tuesday to put on a lacrosse demo for the children while celebrating Turner’s 23rd birthday.
Besides sharing ice cream and cake, the Wings will spread good cheer after Turner – who Turned 23 on Saturday – and Iannucci helped Philadelphia rally to defeat the host Colorado Mammoth, 11-10, for its first win of the National Lacrosse League season.
Turner and “Nooch” are spending time with the children at Shriner’s, a pediatric specialty hospital caring for kids with orthopedic conditions and spinal cord injuries. Children up to age 18 are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless to the patients’ ability to pay.
