Training

Goalie training by Stephanie Ellis for all levels and ages. Ellis was an All-American at Radnor High School and a Regional All-American at Penn State. Each GK will have: an individual evaluation, personalized coaching plan to improve, agility and speed work plans specific for goalies, emphasis on mental toughness. Clinics

Little Shocks Summer Lacrosse Series, Monday’s June 20th – July 25th, Black Rock Park, 1286 Black Rock Road, Collegeville, PA 19426, 6:00-7:00PM
The goal of these 1 hour clinics, is to teach girls the basic skills of lacrosse. Girls will be divided by age and skill level to maximize learning and fun!

Developmental Summer Teams
for grades 5/6 & 7/8, Monday’s June 20th – August 8th, Black Rock Park, 1286 Black Rock Road, Collegeville, PA 19426
6:00-7:30PM. Teams will receive weekly coaching and participate in the Upper Atlantic Tournament at USTC in Downingtown, July 9th -10th.

Greg Cattrano Goalie Clinic,
July 29, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Shipley’s Farm Field in Gladwynne. For boys and girls of all ages and all levels. One-on-One Instruction with Greg Cattrano, formerly of the MLL champion Philadelphia Barraga and now of the Long Island Lizards, as well as other top coaches. Provided are: Greg’s Goalie Philosophy, Unique Goalie Drills, Group Work, Techniques, Individual Analysis, Cardio Work-Outs with Certified Trainer Kim Whelan (Barrage, Wings, Philly Soul), Tips, Pointers, Handouts and Warrior Giveaways. The clinic is co-directed by Shipley coach Mark Duncan.

Camps

Navy girls’ camps, at the United States Naval Academy, in June and July. Navy Women’s Lacrosse Camps are designed to teach and develop the fundamental skills of the game, as well as team concepts in a fun, educational and confidence building environment. It is a chance to learn sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork. It is also a great opportunity to meet other young lacrosse players and experience different coaching techniques from some of the best coaches in the nation. The camps will be directed by Cindy Timchal and the Navy women’s lacrosse coaching staff. Timchal is the all-time wins leader in NCAA lacrosse history and has won eight national championships.


Navy Open Blue Camp

July 5-7, 2011
Rising seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders
Cost: $495
This camp is designed for players of all ability levels. There is a strong emphasis on mastering skills as well as moving on to more advanced parts of the game. Sessions will focus on individual skills, team concepts and full field play. Campers will be divided by age and skill level in order to provide the appropriate learning environment. Goalie instruction will be offered.

United Sports Girls Summer Lacrosse Camp

Raider Lacrosse Camp (Field Players and Goalies) at Radnor High School from 9am-noon, July 11-15 and July 18-22 for girls going into grades 4 to 9. The cost is $125 per week. The camp will be a fun and easy way to improve your game by learning from some of Philly’s top lacrosse players. We will teach you the important skills needed to succeed at the next level. The Philly Showcase Camp,
overnight showcase and instructional camp, for girls in Classes 2013 and 2014, at Albright College in Reading, July 19-21.

Sponsored by Showcase Lacrosse, the Showcase Camp will be directed by Karin Brower Corbett, the women’s’ lacrosse coach at the nationally-ranked power University of Pennsylvania. On the field, the girls will be divided into rosters, with each roster overseen by a prominent college coach, and will play a series of games interspersed between detailed instructional sessions. Additionally, all games at the Showcase Camp will be professionally filmed, catalogued and indexed by Showcase video partner Krossover Intelligence.

Compliments of Krossover, every player will receive a free customized video index of all plays from Showcase Camp games in which she featured. With a few clicks this video clip index can be turned into a free highlight film and shared with college coaches.

Villanova Univ. Women’s Camps
Residential & Commuter Camps – Grades 9-12 , Overnight, July 12-15

The Villanova Women’s Lacrosse Summer Camp challenges athletes in the fundamental skills and techniques of the game in a unique summer camp experience. Villanova University’s guiding principles of excellence, integrity, opportunity, sportsmanship and community form an instructional environment that strives to attain dynamic goals for each athlete, every summer.

The Villanova Women’s Lacrosse Camp prepares high school players and squads to play collegiate level lacrosse by providing the athletes with the opportunity to participate in college style practices daily. The intensive development of fundamental lacrosse skills including non-dominant hand stick work, body/off-ball positioning, 1v1 strategy, and shooting is ideal for the athlete simply looking to prepare for the upcoming high-school season or an aspiring, college-bound prospect. Villanova Univ. Day Camp – Grades 6-8, July 14-16

The Villanova Women’s Lacrosse Day Camp is designed for the young athlete’s introduction and understanding of the sport. Each player receives instruction on the principles of lacrosse through a three-day, twelve-hour camp system convenient with parents’ schedules. Individual concepts such as proper passing and catching, 1v1 strategy, and shooting are paired with full field performance concepts such as defending, pick and rolls, and off-ball movement. Instruction shaped by encouragement shapes a love for the sport.

Top-notch goalie instruction also is available at all Villanova camps for players in Grades 9-12. The finer points of foot-work, stick work and angle-play perfect the goalie’s game. The daily, individualized specialty training primed by set shooting cycles and live game scenarios can provide goalies with technical skills and shot repetition. Coached by current and former Division I goalkeepers and Coach Chagan himself, the goalie component of Villanova Women’s Lacrosse Summer Camp is an intense benefit to the goalkeeper and field player. G.I.R.L. (Growth and Independence Revolution through Lacrosse) CAMP, for girls in 3rd-through-8th grades, Aug. 1-4, at Maureen Welch Elementary, 750 New Road, Chuchville. New and Experienced players are welcome. Camp runs every evening from 5:30-7:30, COST: $100 per player, Special themed nights, Camp t-shirts will be provided, Players must be US Lacrosse Members, Players must have mouth guard, stick and goggles. GIRL camp focuses on the development of each individual female, targeting an increase in self-esteem and confidence through the Game of lacrosse. Players will cultivate stick skills and expand their cradling skills; players will learn how to cooperate and work with others through an emphasis on teamwork. Having fun is a must.
