Second Annual LaxZone Summer Series for High School and Middle School boys (rising 8th to 12th graders) at Upper Dublin’s SPARK Complex. The sessions run every Monday and Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. June 27 until Aug. 3. They focus on skill development for offensive and defensive play as well as transition play. Each session will include skill specific training on defensive positioning, goalie play, stick protection and dodging and shooting. The director is Archbishop Wood head coach and LB3 club coach Jim Beury, with assistants that played high school lacrosse in the Philly region and are playing or have played at numerous college programs. Greg Cattrano Goalie Clinic, July 29, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at Shipley’s Farm Field in Gladwynne. For boys and girls of all ages and all levels. One-on-One Instruction with Greg Cattrano, formerly of the MLL champion Philadelphia Barraga and now of the Long Island Lizards, as well as other top coaches. Provided are: Greg’s Goalie Philosophy, Unique Goalie Drills, Group Work, Techniques, Individual Analysis, Cardio Work-Outs with Certified Trainer Kim Whelan (Barrage, Wings, Philly Soul), Tips, Pointers, Handouts and Warrior Giveaways. The clinic is co-directed by Shipley coach Mark Duncan.
High school boys’ clinics, August 1-to-4, hosted by the Villanova Men’s Lacrosse Program, for players who are interested in playing in college. Attendees will be put through a Villanova Lacrosse practice in the morning followed by a recruiting seminar and Q&A session with the coaches and players, including First Team All-American and Long Island Lizard rookie Brian Karalunas. The clinics will conclude with a two-hour scrimmage in Villanova Stadium. Both of these events are open to all players within the age parameters.

Room is still available in Coach Finn’s Finest U-13 Travel Team this summer. The club is being run by former Philadelphia Wing and Team USA player Kevin “Coach Finn” Finneran. The travel team will play in three tournaments, conduct 14 practices and have top level coaching. The team is geared towards B level players who want to become B+. This is the only travel team for Coach Finn, who will direct practices in Devon. The roster of 20 players will be chosen on a first come basis (no tryouts). Villanova Boys’ Lacrosse Camps, Overnight/Commuter Camp, July 5-July 8, Age Divisions 10-13, 14-17. The camp is an instructional camp that concentrates on individual skill development for players of all skill levels as well as the teaching of team concepts. Skills are put to the test in scrimmages each evening. The camp is staffed by the Villanova coaching staff, Villanova and local college players, as well as local HS coaches. Villanova Youth Day Camp, for boys aged 8-to-13, July 18-20, hosted by Villanova Men’s Lacrosse Program. This is geared for any skill level, but the half-day format is especially good for those who are just learning the game. It will focus specifically on developing fundamental individual skills for players of all levels.

Man-Up Lacrosse Camp, July 18-22, 6:00 pm-9:00 pm, @ YMCA in Phoenixville (Freedom Valley). For boys aged 9-13 during time of camp; US Lacrosse Membership required for campers. (One time fee of $25 for US lacrosse membership). Camp cost $125. This is a instructional camp for boys who are looking to learn to play lacrosse as well as those looking to improve the skills they already have. They will learn from Brody Bush, a Conestoga High School coach, and from other NCAA Division 1 top college players in the country. Registration ends on July 11. To register, click here.
The 11th Annual Premier Lacrosse Instructional Camp for boys entering Grades 3 through 9 will be held July 25-29 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Neumann University. The camp mixes fun and hard work in a great week of lacrosse with instruction from the top coaches in Delaware County. Campers will leave the camp with drills they can work on their own and better understanding of the game. The camp costs $150 for new campers and $125 for past campers. The Lehigh Valley Showcase , July 26-28, 2011 at Lehigh’s Bethlehem campus, will feature three days of advanced training, games, instructional combine and seminars, culminated by the all-star showcase on the final day. The camp will be run by Lehigh coaches and players with assistance from college coaches. Camp will feature no more than 200 participants. Campers will stay at the Lehigh dorms. All sessions of the Showcase will be filmed and made available to participants for personal use following the event. Campers also will receive printouts on strength and speed training combine activities such as the 40-yard dash, bench press and the vertical leap.
Each camper will play in at least six games during the camp. Seminars will be held for recruiting/academics, and leadership/character building. Many college coaches at the Division I, II and III level attend the All-Star Showcase and also serve as instructors. The All-Star Showcase will be held July 28th at 4:30 p.m. The camp will be co-directed by Lehigh coach Kevin Cassese (captain of World champion US National team and formerly of Philadelphia Barrage) and assistants Brendan Callahan and Taylor Wray (Philadelphia Wings defenseman/captain and assistant coach for Canadian National team). The Evolution Games High School and All Star recruiting tournament, as well as the National All Star Lacrosse Championships (NALC) youth tournament, July 16-17, United Sports, Downingtown.
The 2011 F4 Showbine, Nov. 12-13 at Flemington, NJ. This year the event will offer 2 sessions. This is a high-end limited team tournament that will attract many college coaches. Players are tested in athletic skills and also play in tournament games. For more information or to register, click here.
