Team Harley, a Philly-based squad, will take aim on its third straight championship in the Grand Master’s “A” (Warrior) Division Jan. 14-16 at the 10th annual Florida Lacrosse Classic being held just outside Fort Lauderdale.

No. 1-seeded Team Harley – sponsored by Hannum’s Harley-Davidson – will open with another Philly team, Team HEADstrong (No. 9 seed) on Friday at 11 a.m.

In the “B” (Brine) Division, the Philly-based Eagles are seeded No. 10 and open Friday vs. the No. 6 Hounds Friday at 8:30 a.m. The Grey Eagles, seeded No. 11, open play in the Half Century Division Friday against the No. 3 Geezers at 3 p.m.

Last year more than 500 men from 33 teams competed in the tournament, which raises money for youth lacrosse throughout Florida. The tourney is held at Tequesta Trace Park. The Florida Lacrosse Classic has helped support 73 new youth lacrosse programs throughout the state by raising over $103,000, according to tournament board director Don Clinton.
