Hannah Schmitt poured in seven goals and added an assists to power host Archbishop Carroll to a 16-13 triumph over Boyertown today in non-league girls’ lacrosse action.
The Patriots – ranked No. 1 in the PA Media Rankings and No. 11 in the ESPN RISE POWERADE Fab 50 – improved to 8-1 overall. Boyertown – which led, 8-7, at halftime – fell to 6-4.
Rachel Flynn added three goals while Gabbi Hull and Sam Moore each had a pair for the Patriots. Kelly Furman led the Bears with eight goals and Rachel Engler added three.
Penn Charter 16, Agnes Irwin 9
Emma Ebert fired in five goals and Leigh Steinberg added a hat trick to pace the Quakers to the Inter-Ac League win.
Episcopal Academy 16 Baldwin 10
Taylor Trimble had six goals and two assists and Blake McHugh netted five gal and assisted on another for EA in the Inter-Ac victory. Lynda Michaels added three goals and three assists.
Sloan Warren led Baldwin with five goals, one assists and one interception.
Unionville 13, West Chester East 11
Hannah Haskell had four goals and two assists and Kristen Newbrough scored four goals to lead the Indians to the Ches-Mont League win.
Kelly Close added two goals and two assists for Unionville while Annabeth Donovan had a goal and dished four assists.
Julia Falcone and Morgan Gallagher each had four goals for West Chester East.
North Penn 14, Archbishop Wood 13
Macie Hauck had seven goals and an assists and Brenda McDermott added four goals and two assists for the Maidens in the non-league win.
Bishop Shanahan 14, Henderson 12
Hannah Goforth netted five goals and Kathryn Skahan had three goals and three assists while Caroline Kuchinsky scored three more to pace the Eagles to the Ches-Mont League win.
Katelyn Fay pumped in six goals for the Warriors.
Upper Merion 18, Chichester 1
Mel Ryan had four goals and assist while Jackie Schauble and Dominique Gambone each had three goals and an assist and Amanda McAteer contributed two goals and three assists for the Vikings in the Suburban One American victory.
Jenkintown 16, Conwell-Egan 7
Haley Smith and Emma Dillon each collected four goals and four assists to pace the Drakes in the non-league win.
Katrina Bruehl had four goals and an assist for Conwell-Egan.
Downingtown West 18, Kennett 8
Jillian Sanders had five goals and two assists and Rhyan Bofinger added four goals and two assists while Shannon Fluharty netted four goals for the Whippets.
Katie Ferree led Kennett with five goals and one assist.
Friends’ Central 15, Westtown 4
Ashley Tedesco led the Phoenix with five goals, three assists and two draw controls while Becca Dahle contributed three goals, four assists, three draw controls, four forced turnovers and three groundballs and sister Emma Dahle had three goals, two assists, a draw control, four forced turnovers and three groundballs in the Friends Schools League win.
Westtown got three goals from Caylin Haldeman.
