Thursday’s Central League girls’ roundup: Conestoga edges Harriton; Radnor stays undefeated

Britta Hjelm had four goals and two assists and Conestoga rallied from an early 4-0 deficit to claim a key 11-9 victory over visiting Harriton today in a Central League girls’ lacrosse game involving to undefeated teams.

The Pioneers improve to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the league. The Rams fell to 8-1 overall and 4-1 in the league.

Taylor Lawlor added two goals for Conestoga while Meghan McGillis and Brooke McGillis each had a goal and two assists. Sarah Priem made nine saves.

Jess Schwab had three goals and two assists and Carli Sukonik scored three goals for the Rams.

Radnor 17, Ridley 5

Abby Junior and Taryn Deck each scored three goals and Kristen Norden added two goals and two assists while Annie Woehling made eight saves as the Red Raiders remained undefeated.

Liz Brennan and Kelsey Yori each scored two goals for the Green Raiders.

Garnet Valley 13, Haverford High 12

Halley Barnes scored four goals and Ashley Pyle added three while AnnaElise Morello dished five assists to help the Jaguars earn the tight victory.

Katrina Geiger poured in six goals for the Fords.

Strath Haven 21, Marple Newtown 9

Alex Duckenfield fired in eight goals and Lexi Mazur added three to help the Panthers coast to victory.

Springfield-Delco 16, Penncrest 7

Maddy Lynch tallied five goals and Courtney Kennedy added three to pace the Cougars to victory.

Christy Bond and Patrice Coleman each scored three goals for Penncrest.
