Thursday’s boys’ roundup, Late Edition: Ridley tops Springfield-Delco; Conestoga coasts

Kevin Garling and Eric Streicher each scored two goals and Tom McDermott posted nine saves in goal as visiting Ridley claimed a 7-2 victory over Springfield-Delco tonight in Central League boys’ lacrosse.

Ryan O’Kane and Kelton Heverly each had a goal and an assist for the Green Raiders, who improved to 7-2 in the league and 13-2 overall.

Tyler Morrissey and Mark Gurenlian both scores for the Cougars, who fell 6-3 in the league and 9-6 overall.

Conestoga 14, Haverford High 4

Jack Honebrink, Billy Flatley, Tanner Scott and Connor Frisina each scored two goals as the Pioneers remained undefeated in the Central League.

Radnor 8 Strath Haven 5

Charlie Rubin had five goals and an assist while Mike Barnes won12-of-16 face-offs and Brendan Manderack posted 10 saves to lift the Red Raiders to the Central League win.

Goalie Steve Brodeur made 17 saves for the Panthers.

Penncrest 15, Upper Darby 2

Adam Muetterties had two goals and two assists while Alex Falcone and Dylan Protesto each scored twice for the Lions, who won their seventh in a row.

Garnet Valley 12, Marple Newtown 5

Steve Smyrl, Joseph Taulane, Vail Urso and Robert Raucci each scored twice for the Jaguars, who remained undefeated in the Central League.

Unionville 7, Kennett 4

Billy Donovan scored three goals, Rich Kaiser added a pair and Chris Baker made 11 saves to lead the Indians to the Ches-Mont League win.

Downingtown East 16, Sun Valley 3

Kees Holterman scored three goals and Brandon O’Connell added two goals and two assists while Trey Lauletta, Kyle Lauletta, Tyler Kroft and Aaron Murphy each had two goals and an assist for the Cougars in the Ches-Mont win.

Bishop Shanahan 20, Octorara 1

Jack Oakes collected four goals and five assists and Keegan Lawton added three goals and two assists, while Adam Kaminski scored three goals to help Shanahan roll to the Ches-Mont win.

Hatboro-Horsham 6, Central Bucks West 5

Jimmy Durkin scored twice and Marc Poust made 10 saves for the Hatters in the Suburban One American Conference win.

Jake Ross had nine saves for the Bucks.

Great Valley 16, Henderson 8

Timmy Lamb scored five goals and Eric Gartner tallied four while Nick Dipiano made 14 saves to lead the Patriots to the Ches-Mont win.

Ryan Brewer (four goals) and Sebastian Kerslake (three goals) paced Henderson.

Spring-Ford 10, Boyertown 6

The Rams capped a perfect regular season in the PAC-10 by topping the Bears (8-6, 9-8) in a preview of a PAC-10 Final Four semifinal Tuesday night at Owen J. Roberts.

Brian Bock contributed three goals and four assists for Spring-Ford (16-1 overall), which also got two goals from Paul Major and a goal and an assist from Drew Thomas.

Boyertown was paced by Tyler Fuhrman with two goals and Matt Richter with one goal and an assist.

Perkiomen Valley 13, Pope John Paul II 2

The Vikings scored early and often, bolting out to a 9-1 lead by the intermission and never looking back in downing the Golden Panthers.

Jamie Klementisz had the hat trick for PV (6-7, 8-7), which got two goals each from Ryan Boyd (three assists), Sean Tornetta (one assist) and Jake Lynn.

Nick Pollick and Matt Bildstein scored goals for PJP (1-11, 2-12), which got a combined 17 saves in net from Mike Filopanti (10) and Bryce Womak (7).

Owen J. Roberts 18, Pottsgrove 4

Kohl Batdorf had five goals and two assists to lead the Wildcats to the PAC-10 rout. The Wildcats also got two goals apiece from Tyler Graham (three assists), Dylan Swope (two assists) and John Pennell (two assists).
