Springfield-Delco Club won the Meltdown Lacrosse Tournament High School division championship today at Abington.

Springfield-Delco went 4-1 overall and claimed two overtime wins in the playoffs. Springfield-Delco defeated the Wet Bandits, 7-6, in overtime in the finals on a goal by defenseman Dan Bowden. That win avenged a 7-3 loss to the Wet Bandits in pool play Saturday.

Face-off specialist Mark Gurenlian dominated at the face-off X all weekend. The attack was led by Marra, Mike Dezzi, Steve Halko, Quin Pompi, Brian Todaro, Ryan O’toole and Lucas Spence. Defensively, Bowden, Dan Smyth, Matt Quagliari, Brian Arrell, Joey Hoey, and John Fergusson, Dan Dickinson and Bobby Layden all excelled.

Ryan Brawley, Nick Baratelle and Jeremy Cavanaugh split the goaltending chores.
