Saturday’s girls’ high school roundup: Harriton tops Methacton; Great Valley, Henderson win

Carli Sukonik collected seven goals and two assists to lead host Harriton to a 17-10 victory today over Methacton in non-league girls’ lacrosse.

Jess Schwab added four goals and three assists while Katie Melvin had three goals and an assist for the Rams (4-0).

Emily Kellett led the Warriors (3-1) with three goals and three assists while Megan Nearing added three goals and two assists.

Great Valley 16, Spring-Ford 5

Ali Karwoski had five goals and two assists and Sara McBride contributed four goals and an assist to pace the Patriots (-0) to the non-league win.

Maddie Ward led the Rams with three goals. and Cassidy Novotny made 17 saves.

Henderson 13, Abington 6

Katelyn Foley and Katie O’Donnell each had five goals as the Warriors took the non-league win.

Carli Fitzgerald, Hannah Sjholm and Meredith Cox each scored two goals for the Ghosts.


West Chester East 14, Mount St. Joseph 10

Morgan Gallagher had five goals and three assists and Hayley Tomilson added four goals and an assists to lead the Vikings to the non-league win.

Olivia Gannon had four goals, an assist and six draw controls for the Mount.

Moorestown (NJ) 14, Strath Haven 1

Summer O’Donnell scored the lone goal for the host Panthers in their defeat to the New Jersey powerhouse.

Avon Grove 19, Owen J. Roberts 13

Kasey Calloway had seven goals and Brynn Reid contributed five goals and four assists for the Devils.

Emily Kolsevich led OJR with four goals and an assist.
