Monday’s girls’ roundup: Downingtown East edges Conestoga; Strath Haven cruises

Nicole Barretta, Linnea Faccenda, McKanzie Rafferty and Emily Solenberger each scored two goals as visiting Downingtown East defeated Conestoga, 11-10, Monday in a non-league battle involving two ranked teams.

Downingtown East, ranked No. 3 by, improved to 8-1. Conestoga, ranked No. 7, fell to 6-2.

Allie Murray (eight saves) and Marya Fratoni (four saves) shared the win in goal. Britta Hjelm had four goals and Claire Jackson added three goals for the Pioneers.

Strath Haven 20, Bayard Rustin 8

Alex Duckenfield had five goals and an assist and Jenna Frost added four goals while Kirsten Wilhelmsen had three goals and two assists for the Panthers (8-3) in the non-league win.

Emily Hubely and Rianna Doane had two goals each for the Golden Knights.

Springfield-Delco 10, Collegiate (Va.) 8

Courtney Kennedy had five goals and Maddy Lynch added four and Kristy Reid made 10 saves as the Cougars claimed the non-league win in Virginia.

Germantown Academy 14, Shipley 11

Brooke Kiley poured in five goals and Salle Anne Greenwood had three goals for the Patriots in the non-league win.

Avery Safford pumped in eight goals for Shipley.

Notre Dame 20, Bonner-Prendergast 1

Carlianne McCabe collected five goals and two assists to lead the Irish to the easy non-league win.

Garnet Valley 12, Bishop Shanahan 8

Halley Barnes had four goals and an assist and AnnaElise Morello added three goals and two assists for the Jaguars in the non-league win.

Catherine Skahan, Anna Goforth and Katie Ibarguen had two goals each for the Eagles.

Sacred Heart 16, Stuart Country Day (NJ) 5

Stephanie Finley collected six goals and four assists for SH in the non-league win.
