Monday’s boys’ roundup: GA downs Penn Charter in Inter-Ac; CB East clinches Suburban One Continental crown; SJ Prep cruises

Reid Weber scored four goals and Billy Oppenheimer added three goals and two assists while Beau Jones contributed two goals and four assists to lead host Germantown Academy to a 14-7 victory over Penn Charter Monday in Inter-Ac League boys’ lacrosse.

Connor Crump had two goals and two assists and Jake Adoni made 14 saves in goal for GA, which improved to 12-2 overall and 5-2 in the Inter-Ac. George Robinson and Greg Shildkraut and defenseman Bobby Tait also scored for the Patriots.

For Penn Charter (8-9, 2-5), Joey Sankey had two goals and two assists and Tyler White added two goals and an assist. Jackson Tamasitis made 18 saves in goal.

Upper Merion 15, Cheltenham 3

Luc Minnich had five goals and an assist, Wes McDowell scored four times and Trevor Kupecky contributed two goals and seven assists while Conor Crowe made 12 saves to lead the Vikings to the easy Suburban One American Conference win.

Central Bucks East 16, Central Bucks West 3

The Patriots (13-1, 10-0) clinched the Suburban One Continental Conference crown with an easy win over their arch rivals as Matt Brodzik had four goals and three assists and Chris Vetter scored three times.

Blake Ament had two goals and an assist while Brandon Ament and Parker Self each scored twice for the Pats.

St. Joseph’s Prep 15, Archbishop Ryan 2

Fenton Fitzpatrick tallied three goals for the Hawks in the Catholic League win.

Tim Taylor and Pat Haslebarth scored for Ryan.

Pottsgrove 8, Phoenixville 3

The Falcons improved to 2-9 in the PAC-10 behind two goals apiece from Danny Michaels (two assists) and D.J. Ludy. Also for Pottsgrove (5-9 overall), Riley Michaels had one goal and two assists, while Matt Natale, Troy Hudgins and Matt Cimino also scored goals.

The Phantoms (1-9, 2-10) were led by Vinnie D’Innocenzo (two goals) and Alex Clark (goal, assist).

George Washington 1, Northeast 0

John Kenny scored the game’s only goal and Declan Sweeney made 13 saves to earn the shutout for the Eagles in the Public League win.

Interboro 7, Lansdale Catholic 6

Justin Eckert had three goals and an assist and Jake Hermann scored twice while Joe Stackowitz posted 10 saves as the Bucs improved to 9-3 with the non-league victory.

Zak Ruch led LC with three goals and Chad Adams made 13 saves.

Bishop Shanahan 13, Norristown 4

Matt Bray collected four goals and three assists and John Mehok had three goals and four assists to pace Shanahan to the non-league win.

Sean Calhoun, Jake Naseef and Jesse Prante each had a goal and an assist for Norristown.

Unionville 11, Archbishop Carroll 6

Rich Kaiser had four goals and two assists and James Moss scored three goals for the Indians in the non-league win.
