Millersville women’s team hosting 5-on-5 ‘Laxgiving’ challenge and clinic on Nov. 6

The Millersville women’s lacrosse team and head coach Mia Hall (Pottsgrove) have announced its first-ever five-on-five “Laxgiving” challenge and clinic on Sunday, Nov. 6 from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. The challenge is designed for girls from the ninth to 12th grades.

The challenge is a pool-play tournament format with two pools of eight teams. The maximum amount of teams accepted for registration is 16 on a first come, first serve basis. Each team is allowed to have up to 10 players and one coach. Every team must have a goalie.

All teams must register in full payment by Monday, Oct. 31. A full team is required in order to reserve a spot. The registration fee per team is $325. The registration fee from each team will go toward benefiting the Millersville women’s lacrosse program as well as $35 from each fee will be donated to a local food bank.

In addition, the women’s lacrosse team will be collecting canned goods and food donations on site of the challenge.

1:00pm-1:25 Registration at Biemesderfer Stadium-please have your contact person or coach come to the table

1:30-Coaches Meeting and Gk meeting at 50 yard line- This is a rules meeting-each team much have 1
representative present.

1:35-Clinic-All teams must meet around the goal closest to the Score board

2:00 pm- Games begin

-Each team will be given 1 coaches pass and only the coaches and team will be allowed on the field.
-There are 2 pools with 8 teams per pool. Games will be 9 minutes long 4 each half with 1 min halftime. It is 5v5 plus a goalie. You will play everyone in your pool ,
and the top 2 teams from each pool will make playoffs, which are estimated to start around 3:15 pm
-Pinnies will be given out as part of the tournament. Please have these on for all games
-The stadium is turf, sneakers, turfs and cleats can be worn.
-Tee shirts will be available for sale at the field and donation sites for canned goods will also be set up
