Wyomissing senior midfielder Grayson Helm has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Bucknell University.
Grayson Helm log:
High School: Wyomissing
Graduation Year: 2012
College Choice: Bucknell
Club Affiliation: Duke’s L.C.
Major lacrosse honors: All-Berks County First Team, Team MVP, scored 64 goals.
Academic honors: National Honor Society, over 4.0 GPA
What will you major in/study? Business Management
Why did you choose school? “Bucknell is the perfect fit of academics and lacrosse. I really like the campus a lot; it’s in a small college town and everything revolves around the school. Everyone is there to work hard and maintain a social life. The coaching staff is very nice; they showed a lot of love for me and my play over the years and they’ve really wanted me to come there for a while.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We lost two of our top scorers, but defensively we’ll be pretty strong. We should be a competitor in the county and the districts and hopefully make a run at the state playoffs again.”
Other comments: “I wish to thank my Dad (Wyomissing head coach Scott Helm). He started lacrosse in this area; and I want to thank the rest of my family for supporting me. Of course, thanks to the Duke’s Lacrosse club and (coach) Ebe Helm for giving me the opportunity and helping me get the exposure I wouldn’t get here in Central PA. I credit a lot of that to my success.”
