Low & Away (Lancaster) wins top division title at inaugural Philadelphia Indoor Lacrosse Championships

The Lancaster-based Low & Away Lacrosse Club easily defeated the Nova Generals, 22-9, in the finals of the inaugural Philadelphia Indoor Lacrosse Championships (PILC) to claim the trophy in the High School AA (top) division Saturday.

Low & Away ran through the playoffs as the No. 4 seed, defeating #5 seed NXT Lacrosse Club, 18-7, in the quarterfinals and upending top seed Big Blue (N.J.) in the semis 22-10. Nova Generals (Va.) made the finals after defeating Lower Merion, 23-11, in the quarterfinals and winning an exciting semifinal encounter over Abington, 21-19.

The Playoff Results were as follows:

(2) NOVA Generals def. (7) Lower Merion 23-11

Division A Championship

Leading Edge Lacrosse Club defeated Council Rock South, 23-12, in the High School A Division Championship Game at the PILC.

Leading Edge made an undefeated run through the group stage.

Saturday’s event featured 18 teams in all. Thirteen more will compete today in the Youth Division.
