Head Lacrosse Coach Kevin Cassese announced on Tuesday the Mountain Hawks’ 2011 fall slate. Lehigh’s fall is highlighted by the Fifth Annual Nick Colleluori Lacrosse Classic when the squad will face off against Towson and Hofstra. A number of other events highlight the fall season, including Community Night this Friday (Sept. 30).

Always a highly anticipated event, Community Night is quickly approaching this Friday at the Ulrich Sports Complex. The free clinic for the local community will start at 6:30 p.m. and will be run by the Lehigh men’s lacrosse staff and players. Athletes up to the eighth grade (and of all skill levels) are welcome to attend. Participants will go through drills covering stick work, shooting and dodging in a competitive, yet fun environment.

The clinic will run until approximately 8 p.m. at which point those in attendance can stick around and get a sneak peak at the 2012 Mountain Hawks in a special alumni game featuring Lehigh alums against the current team. Following the game, all of the players and coaches will be available for autographs. For directions, please click here. Questions? Please email or call 610-758-4762.

The Mountain Hawks are in action the following weekend at the Nick Colleluori Classic at Ridley High School in Folsom, Pa. when they face a pair of national powers, all to benefit a good cause. Each year, to honor Nicholas “Head” Colleluori, and those affected by blood cancer, the HEADstrong Foundation hosts “The Nick Colleluori Lacrosse Classic,” has become the premier Men’s Collegiate Fall Ball Lacrosse Tournament.

Lehigh will face a pair of CAA foes on Saturday, Oct. 8 when it plays Hofstra at 11 a.m. on the grass field and Towson at 4 p.m. on the turf field. Single day admission will be $10 for adults, $5 for children (12 and under) and free for children under five. A two-day pass is available for $15 for adults and $7 for children (12 and under). All proceeds go toward Blood Cancer Research & Family Assistance. Lehigh is one of nine Division I lacrosse programs participating in the event.
