Keystone Games: Montco boys win gold medal in Jr. division with double overtime victory in finals

Montgomery County claimed the Jr. Lacrosse gold medal Sunday at the Keystone Games at Penn State with a dramatic 7-6, double overtime win over Delaware County.

Montco defeated Bucks County, 9-4, in the semifinals of the 13-team tournament that featured squads for 7th and 8th-graders from around the state. The win over Delco in the title game avenged Montco’s lone loss, a 5-4 defeat during pool play.

Throughout the tournament, Montco’s players exhibited great teamwork and resilience. One of the highlights was a comeback victory over Capital, which at one time held a 7-1 lead.
