Inter-Ac Invitational: Lawrenceville School (N.J.) tops Bullis School (Md.), 9-5, to earn date with No. 1 Haverford School

Matt Donovan scored three goals and Matt O’Connor made 17 saves to lead Lawrenceville School to a 9-5 victory over Bullis School (Md.) today in the quarterfinals of the Inter-Ac Invitational at Cabrini College.

The victory means the fourth-seeded Big Red (18-2) will meet top-seeded Haverford School in the semifinals at Cabrini at 5 p.m. Saturday in the first game of a doubleheader. Bullis School closes its season at 13-6.

Lawrenceville, the champion of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League has won seven games in a row. Last year the Big Red fell to Haverford School, 11-5, in the semifinals of the Inter-Ac Invitational.
