Girls’ lacrosse: Archbishop Carroll topples Radnor, 14-10

Natalie Schmitt had four goals and an assist while Hannah Schmitt, Sheila Johnson and Rachel Flynn each had two goals to lead host Archbishop Carroll to a 14-10 victory today over Radnor in a non-league girls’ lacrosse game between neighboring rivals.

The Patriots, currently, leading the Catholic League and ranked No. 8 in the PA Media Rankings, improved to 14-3. Radnor, in a five-way tie for first in the Central League and ranked No. 5 in the PA Media Rankings, fell to 12-5 with their fourth loss in six games.

Nora McGeever made seven saves in the opening half for the Pats, who took a 9-3 lead at intermission.

Taryn Deck led Radnor with three goals and Amelia Yeager scored two goals.
