Girls Lacrosse Skills Sessions, 1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, Skills A (Elementary Level ages 7-10): 12-1pm; Skills B (Middle School Developmental ages 10-14): 1-2pm; Skills C (Middle School Advanced ages 11-14): 2-3pm. United Sports, Downingtown, target age: 7-14. This is a 6-week instruction program for younger players. Each session focuses on a specific skill and progress to game situations and scrimmages. CrossFire Girls’ Lacrosse Clinics at Episcopal Academy, CAT-Pickering (Phoenixville) and Penn Charter. The clinics are open to all interested girls in grades 4-through-12, regardless of experience. level varsity and collegiate play. The Athena Girls’ Goalie Clinic
will be held on Sunday, Jan. 16, at Westtown School, West Chester, from 2-5:30 p.m. The event is for high school and middle school goalies and will feature top-notch instruction in:

• Techniques of top college goalies
• All phases of goaltending
• Defensive leadership skills and a strong presence in the crease
• Proper warm-up and practice routines

High School and Middle School Skills Tune Ups, by Momentum Lacrosse, at Ampro Fieldhouse in Clifton Heights, Delaware County. The tune-up sessions will be held on three Sundays, Jan. 9, Jan. 16 and Jan. 23. The high school sessions are from 3-4:30 p.m. and the middle school sessions are from 4:30-6. Each session costs $40. The high school tune up series is set up for the player that wants to advance skills and prepare for the lacrosse season. This is a high paced skills, drills and agilities style clinic. The middle school clinic series will provide specific coaching to each individual, focusing on developing stickwork, small game skills and knowledge. Instruction comes from some of the top college coaches in the area.

MLK Day Lacrosse Clinic, January 17, 9am-12pm, at United Sports in Downingtown, 5th graders and up. Half-day clinic focusing on offense, shooting and goalkeeping. To register contact Nicole Ferrari at

Elite Team Camp for high school girls, run by InCrease Lacrosse (N.Y.), Jan. 16-17 (Martin Luther King weekend) at Hofstra University. The camp includes: Fundamentals, offensive and defensive strategy, team leadership, and a choice section during team practice. The second day includes game play and a chance to bring home the championship.

Space is limited to 15 teams and each team must have 15 players. Current Division 1 coaches and players will all be part of the staff.

Camp schedule:
9am-11:30am- Instructional Session
11:30am-1:30pm- Lunch / Informational Session (Sunday- recruiting session, Monday- strength & conditioning session)
2pm-5pm- Team practice / tournament style game play
Where: Hofstra’s Physical Fitness Center (indoors)
Cost: $3,000 per team (15 player minimum= $200 per player)
If more players attend, cost per player decreases.
Cost includes:
-High quality instruction and coaching from Division I coaches and players.
-Lunch served each day.
-Competition experience with team before spring.
-Coaching clinic for High School coaches by college coaches in attendance.

Developmental Players Youth Clinic, hosted by Navy women’s lacrosse team, for girls in grades 5 through 8 on Sunday, Jan. 23, from 10 a.m.-noon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md. The price is $60 per player. Players have the opportunity to be coached by the Navy staff – including head coach Cindy Timchal (Haverford High), and assistants Allison Fondale and Kristen Waagbo – as well as the Navy women’s lacrosse team, the 2010 Patriot League Champions. The Summer Slam Lacrosse Tournament for girls will be held on Saturday July 2 and Sunday July 3, 2011.The tournament will be held at the Westtown School in West Chester. The 2nd Annual Summer Slam Lacrosse Tournament for youth and High School boys will be June 25 & 26 at Westtown and Episcopal Academy. The Summer Slam Girls Tournament will follow the same format as the boys’ tournament and consist of nine divisions U9, U11, U13A&B, U15A&B, High School AA, High School A, and High School B. Each girls’ team is guaranteed four games over two days and teams playing for Summer Slam Titles will play additional games Sunday.
