Funeral arrangments set for Friday for Robert Nagel, 19, former Hatboro-Horsham lacrosse player

A viewing will be held for Robert Nagel, 19, of Ambler, a Hatboro-Horsham graduate and lacrosse player, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday at Mary Mother of the Redeemer located at 1325 Lower State Road, North Wales.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Redeemer.

Mr.Nagel was a major contributor to a Hatters lacrosse team that shared the Suburban One Continental Conference title and advanced to the state playoffs in 2010.

Mr. Nagel was killed in a one-car accident Saturday morning on Witmer Road in Horsham that also took the life of his high school teammate, Eddie Coombs, 19, of Horsham.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Nagel family can be made to an account held at TD Bank. Contributions can be made in person at any TD branch or by mail to TD Bank, 929 Horsham Road, Horsham, PA. 19044. The account is the Robert Nagel Memorial Fund.

As previously reported services for Coombs will take place today at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham. A viewing will take place from 10 a.m. to noon, with a funeral Mass to be celebrated at noon.
