Conestoga grad Chu excelling as freshman for three-time defending MCLA champion Michigan

Freshman attackman Jeff Chu (Conestoga) has enjoyed a solid rookie season for Michigan, ranked No. 1 in the nation in the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA).

Chu finished the regular season with nine goals and two assists for the Wolverines, who went 14-0 and now gear for the Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association playoffs in Saline Mich. The tourney begins on Saturday.

The MCLA tournament will be held May 17-21 in Denver, Colorado.

Michigan is the three-time MCLA champion and is strongly rumored to be poised to announce it is moving up to NCAA Division I.

Chu helped the Pioneers win the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association championship last year.
