Catholic League boys’ lacrosse: St. Joseph’s Prep, La Salle to meet again in title game Thursday at Cardinal O’Hara

Anthony Marini led 16 scorers as St. Joseph’s Prep coasted past Archbishop Ryan, 22-2, Tuesday in the Catholic League semifinals at Cardinal O’Hara.

The victory sets up a a much-anticipated matchup for the league championship and District’s 12’s lone state berth Thursday when the Hawks (15-4) meet La Salle for the title at O’Hara at 5 p.m.

La Salle (14-5) advanced with a 14-4 triumph over Archbishop Carroll. The Explorers have won seven straight Catholic League titles and have defeated The Prep each time.

Jeff Heath had two goals and two assists for the Hawks Tuesday while Brad James and Pat Swanick each had two goals.
