Haverford School closed a memorable regular season at 20-0 today by coasting to an 11-1 non-league victory over visiting Moorestown (N.J.).

The Fords, who won the Inter-Ac League crown and remain as the top-ranked team in all three national polls as well as the PA Media Rankings, will surely be given the top seed in the Inter-Ac Invitational tonight at the seeding meeting.

Zach Rego led the Fords with three goals and two assists and Gavin McBride added two goals and one assist, while Henry Blynn had a goal and an assist. Six others scored once and Conor Kelly (eight saves) did not yield a goal in three periods.

The score could have been much worse, but Moorestown (8-8) goalie Dan Willis made 22 saves- 11 in the first period.

“I think we moved the ball better than usual,” said Haverford School junior midfielder Sam Rohr. “We did a great job moving the ball down one side, moving it one or two more times, and then hitting that last shot for the goal.

“It felt good to win out! We did a great job putting everything together, and this is the end of it so now we move on to the Inter-Ac tournament.”
