Conor Kelly made 12 saves in goal and Brendan McGrath led a balanced attack with three goals as host Haverford School improved to 14-0 by defeating La Salle, 13-7, Saturday in non-league boys’ lacrosse.
The Fords, ranked No. 1 in the nation in every national poll, led, 5-3, at halftime, and 11-6, after three periods. Kelly made a number of key saves to prevent the Explorers from keeping it close.
La Salle, which had its six-game win streak snapped, fell to 6-4.
Carl Walrath, Sam Rohr and Zach Rego each had two goals and an assist for the Fords while Hup Hupfeldt scored twice and Joe McCallion won 13 of 20 face-offs.
Matt Rambo led the Explorers with four goals, while Mark DiFrangia led the defense with eight groundballs and four caused turnovers.
