Pennsbury senior midfielder Ryan McDonald has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Widener University.

Ryan McDonald log:

Ryan McDonald

High School: Pennsbury High School

Graduation Year: 2012

Position: Midfield

College Choice: Widener University

Club Affiliation: LB3

Major lacrosse honors: 2nd Team All-Suburban One National Conference.

What will you major in/study? Education (probably secondary)

Why did you choose school? “I knew I wanted to play lacrosse in college and when Widener asked me to come on an overnight visit I was very impressed. I loved the campus and the guys on the team are great, as well as Coach (Brendan) Dawson. He expects a lot of his team both on and off the field and brings a lot of intensity.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We want to build on the solid season we had last year when we made it to states for the first time. I think we have a good chance of going deep into the playoffs with the great group of seniors we have and underclassmen providing a lot of depth.”
