Cumberland Valley (PA) senior midfielder James Keich has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Christopher Newport.
James Keich log:
High school: Cumberland Valley High School
Graduation year: 2012
Position: Midfield
College choice: Christopher Newport
Club affiliation: Central PA Dawgs
Major lacrosse honors: Selection to National Lacrosse Classic, Keystone Games, member of 1st CV team to reach state playoffs (2011)
What will you major in/study: Business
Why did you choose school: “I chose Christopher Newport because of the excellent academics and great community. With the addition of a new business building in 2012, CNU offered the best program for my major. Along with great academics the Captains’ lacrosse program is a solid upcoming program in Division III. Coach (Todd) Boward and the guys on the team are all great guys and have amazing chemistry between all of them, and it will be great to be apart of what is going on at CNU.”
Outlook for your high school team: “After losing some key players at midfield and defense, we are looking solid with 20+ seniors returning. Looks like it will be a great year at Cumberland Valley with our coach A.J. Bogacyzk getting a heard start on off season work outs and practice, everyone is improving. We hope to be ready for another state playoff run in 2012.”
