Downingtown East senior defenseman Scott Allison has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Widener University.

Scott Allison log:

Scott Allison

High school: Downingtown East

Graduation year: 2012

Position: Defense

College choice: Widener

Club affiliation: Team Philadelphia Elite

Major lacrosse honors: Philly Showcase, Tri-State Senior “A” Champions, Evolution Games Champions.

What will you major in/study: Undecided

Why did you choose school: I chose Widener because of the great academic reputation and the location provides excellent internship opportunities in the city. The lacrosse team has a winning tradition and I liked Coach (Brendan) Dawson’s vision for the team in the future.

Outlook for your high school team: We have a strong Senior class and a bunch of talented underclassmen. We have been working hard during the off-season and hope to compete for the Ches-Mont championship.

Other comments: “I would like to thank my parents for their support and guidance. I would also like to thank Coach (Todd) Cliggett and the entire Downingtown East coaching staff as well as all my coaches on Team Philadelphia.
