High School: Episcopal Academy

Graduation Year: 2012

Position: Goalie

College Choice: Trinity College (CT)

Club Affiliation: HEADstrong

Major Lacrosse honors: 2012 co-captain; 2011 Episcopal Academy Lacrosse award; Blue Chip 225 All-Star; Tier 1 All-Star

What will you major in/Study? Economics

Why did you chose trinity?
Trinity is a great school with an awesome campus. Also, playing in the NESCAC is a great opportunity and Coach (Michael) Higgins really has the team (12-4 overall, 6-3 in league last year) moving in the right direction.”

Other info: Coote’s high school coach, Andy Hayes, graduated from Trinity. Former teammate Chase Growney (sophomore attackman) is also at Trinity.

Other schools considered? Gettysburg, Dickinson, Connecticut College

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We have very strong junior and senior classes, so we will definitely be competing to be one of the best teams in the area and the Inter-Ac.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank my high school coach, Coach Hayes who has been with me all the way. Also, I want to thank the Donnelly family, Joe Sr. and Joe Jr., for helping me develop to become a better goalie; my Headstrong Coaches, Michael Colleluori, Mike McCauley, and Brett Moyer; and John Nostrant and David Metzbower for helping me through with the recruiting process.”
