Men’s recruit: Conestoga senior goalie Shea commits to Union

Conestoga senior goalie Brody Shea has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Union College (N.Y).

Major lacrosse honors: Member of 2011 PIAA state championship team, Top 205 All-Star team, ECAC All-Star team

Academic honors: First Honors

What will you major in/study? Chemistry or Business/Economics

Why did you choose school? “I instantly fell in love with the place. From an academic standpoint, it’s a smaller school. I like that. It focuses more on science and engineering and I’m looking to go into the math and science field it.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next year?
“We still have a starting line of all D1 commits.”

Other comments: “I want to thank my Mesa Fresh coaches: Peter Rohr and Rob Lord; and Conestoga coaches Brian Samson and Brody Bush and the rest of the staff; as well as Coach (John) Nostrant and (David) Metzbower, who helped with recruiting (Gold Medal).”
