Central Bucks East senior defenseman Ryan Connors has made a commitment to play Division III lacrosse at Lynchburg College.

Ryan Connors log:

Ryan Connors

High school: Central Bucks East

Graduation year:
2012

Major lacrosse honors:
Member of District 1 runner-up and state semifinalist, 2011; 2011 Suburban One All-Conference; Top 205 all-star; 2010 and 2011 Bronze Medal at Keystone games; Philly Showcase Fab 40 2010.

What will you major in/study?:
Political Science

Why did you choose school?: “I went down to Lynchburg in the summer and really liked the campus and the scenery. When I went back for an overnight visit, I saw how close the whole team was and felt really comfortable with Coach (Steve) Koudelka and the rest of his staff. At the UVA scrimmage I saw how competitive the team is and the amount of support they get at the school. Combine that with the good academics and I knew it was the right fit for me.”

Outlook for your high school team: “We are coming off a great season and definitely lost a lot of guys, but we have a nucleus of returning contributors and I think some underclassmen are really going to come into their own and step up for us.”

Other comments: “I would like to thank my coaches at CB East, Coach (Bruce) Garcia and Coach (Paul) McGovern and my coaches from Twist, Coach (Jack) Devlin, Coach (Greg) Flego and Coach (Joe) Serio. And I appreciate all the support from my family.”
