The inaugural Big 4 Invitational Showcase will be held on November 13 at the Shipley School in Bryn Mawr.

This all-day event will feature many of the area’s top boys’ high school lacrosse players. Participants will receive a letter directly from the Big 4 Lacrosse staff, but there are still some spots available to players.

To be considered you can email a link to your highlight film (if you have one), your accolades, and a recommendation from your coach to event Director Billy McKinney at big4lacrosse@gmail.com

Each participant will play three games in front of many college coaches and have the opportunity to be one of the 42 players selected to the All-Star game. Teams will be comprised of 21 players, which will allow each participant to receive ample playing time. Shipley’s newly-renovated facility, featuring two turf fields, will be completed in September and provide easy access for NCAA coaches to watch both games at one time.

The games begin at 9:45 a.m.

“While recruiting as a NCAA Division 1 coach, I saw firsthand what type of events work the best for players and NCAA coaches,” said Big 4 founder/president McKinney. “There are numerous recruiting events that pit players with dramatic differences in talent level against each other.

“These events are great for players to find out if they have what it takes to play collegiate lacrosse. The Big 4 Invitational Showcase is for players that have already proven they have the ability to play collegiate lacrosse.”

The majority of invitees were chosen based on their performance in past seasons and recruiting events. Some players were chosen through recommendations from college and high school coaches.
