Seton Hall Prep's Brent Croonquist has committed to Villanova

Croonquist was named Second Team Essex County and won 65 percent of his face-offs. He also played for the Garden State All-Star Team, the NJ Under Armour Underclassmen team and the Top 205 All-Star Team. He plays club lacrosse for New Jersey Trilogy.

Croonquist, a Second Honors student, will study Business. He joins teammate XXX as a Villanova recruit for coach Michael Corrado. Last year the Wildcats advanced to the NCAA tournament for the first time and were ranked among the nation’s Top 15 teams most of the year.

“I chose Villanova due to its outstanding reputation, beautiful campus, great coaching staff, and its very talented and successful lacrosse program,” said Croonquist.

Croonquist joins fellow Seton Hall Prep rising senior attackman Tim Mulrenan as a Villanova recruit.

“I am very optimistic for my 2012 lacrosse season,” said Croonquist. “We only lost a handful of seniors and my grade is extremely talented.”
