Doran helped the Fords (12-8) advance to the second round of the District 1 playoffs in 2011 while earning US Lacrosse Academic All-American and Honorable Mention Central League honors.

Doran, who plays club lacrosse for SEPA Green, also was a Defensive MVP at the Philly Showcase in 2010 and earned the school’s Hustle Award in 2011. She also is a member of the ESPN RISE Watch List for rising seniors.

Doran plans to pursue screenwriting/film production and hopes to major in Film Studies and Creative Writing.

“I chose F&M because every time I stepped onto campus I immediately felt that I belonged there,” said Doran.

F&M won the national title in 2010 under coach Lauren Paul. Last year the Diplomats went 19-3 and reached the NCAA quarterfinals.

“Lauren Paul was a huge factor in my (decision),” said Doran. “And knowing that F&M has great potential to win more national championships, it’s something I can’t wait to be a part of.”

Doran is a member of the Honor Roll at Haverford and was named Student of the Month in 2010. She also serves as a Youth Lacrosse Coach for Haverford Township Rec and is a Youth Tutor for Bethel Academy.

Doran is the second Haverford rising senior to commit to play college lacrosse. Midfielder Katrina Geiger has committed to Loyola.

“This coming season I expect nothing but momentum and improvement on last year’s efforts and expectations,” Doran said. “We will definitely be a competitor in the Central League.”
