The United States U-19 national team – featuring Philly’s Taylor Trimble (Episcopal Academy) and Allie Murray (Downingtown East) – concludes its special two-day exhibition series tonight at Episcopal (6:00) when it meets a collection of players that are either playing in college now or recently graduated.

The US U-19 team played the Phantastix Monday night in an exhibition game at Hill School as part of a two-day series

The US team had a spirited game Monday night at The Hill School against the Phantastix, a Philly-based club team that has helped produce many top women’s players, including Trimble. Both Trimble (midfielder, team captain) and Murray (goalie) are helping the US team run a three-day skills camp at The Hill, which runs until Wednesday.

In tonight’s game, the US squad meets a club that will feature, among others: Duke All-American and former U-19 member Emma Hamm (Baldwin School), Duke’s Kim Wenger (Great Valley), recent Duke grad Taylor Fleming (Merion Mercy), recent Penn State grad Stephanie Ellis (Radnor), Ohio State’s Gabby Capuzzi (Archbishop Carroll), Temple’s Missy Schweitzer (Owen J. Roberts) and Syracuse’s Amy Cross (Upper Dublin).

The camp runs each day for 9 a.m.-noon and focuses on skill-building and drill work. The U-19 team is gearing to compete in the Federation of International Lacrosse World Championships Aug. 3-14 in Hannover, Germany.

Trimble, a three-time US Lacrosse All-American, also earned Under Armour All-American this year and helped Episcopal Academy win the Inter-Ac League championship with an undefeated league mark.
